Imane Abou Ali is an assistant professor at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Education. She got her licentiate degree in natural science at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Sciences in 1983. She completed her higher studies diploma DEA at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Education in 1998, and achieved her PhD in science education at the ENS Cachans in Paris. She was a biology teacher at several schools, biology coordinator, general educational coordinator and presenter of various workshops in private schools. Imane Abou Ali joined the Faculty of education at Lebanese university in 1999 as trainer of pre-service science teachers. She became an assistant professor in 2011.In addition to teaching under and post graduates ‘courses, she has been the supervisor of science practicum for pre-service teachers since 2012.
Abou Ali participated in various projects concerning students’ conceptions. She was a member in the committee of the training program at the Faculty of Education. She communicated and contributed in various local and international conferences. Her domain of research is in science education. She developed various research topics in epistemology of science, in environmental education and sustainable development, in teaching strategies and teacher education program.
